New Weapons, Customizable Banners For Your Village And Much More

Sakura, the cherry blossom season, is a time of beauty and celebration. As delicate pink and white petals drift on the breeze, they mark the arrival of spring as well as the recurring, yet fleeting nature of life. Much like the blossoms, Sengoku Dynasty, the popular blend of open world action adventure, life sim and village builder keeps moving forward and evolving.

Development studio Superkami and publisher Toplitz Productions are delighted to announce the arrival of the new free Sakura update on April 30, 2026.

With this update you will be able to give your character some spring-inspired customization options and a new weapon, the Otsuchi, as a part of the beautiful, yet deadly Sakura themed weapon set. You can also look forward to a fresh clothing set for both male and female tradespeople, who will benefit from the new worker level and specialization system. Additionally, springtime marks more variation for the appearance of refugees seeking to join your cause. While up to now they had three outfits to choose from, with the free update they have more variety, depending on your dynasty level.

Even more cosmetic personalization options will be available in the paid Sakura DLC customization pack, also available on April 30, 2026. This includes a selection of impressive Menpō masks, a fresh Samurai clothing set and a beautifully designed porcelain weapon set. To further decorate your village and mark your territory, editable banners and flags in various sizes and shapes will be available, allowing over 30 unique variants.

Sengoku Dynasty is available now on PC and consoles. More information can be found on the respective store pages. The free Sakura update and paid DLC will be arriving on all platforms on April 30, 2026.
